COOKIES POLICY

In accordance with the provisions of our Legal Notice, WOWturbans uses its own and third-party cookies on the WEB and browsing it implies acceptance and authorization of the use of these cookies under the conditions established in this policy.

All the necessary information about the management of cookies on the WEB is provided below. If it is necessary to expand this information or resolve any questions related to cookies, you can do so by sending an email to  wow@wowturbans.com

1.- What are cookies?

A cookie is a very small text file that a web server can store on the hard drive of a computer, tablet or any other device that allows you to browse the internet.

Cookies serve to store information about the user, since it uniquely identifies each computer, and can only be read by the website that sent it to the computer.

A cookie is not an executable file or program and therefore cannot spread or contain a virus or other malicious software.

2.- What are cookies used for?

The use of cookies is intended, among others, to remember the user’s preferences (language, country, login, browser characteristics, information on the use of our website, etc…) and to keep a record of browsing habits.

Remembering the preferences it will not be necessary, for example, to ask for the country of connection each time the Web is visited. We will be able to know the characteristics of the equipment used and thus offer a better browsing experience. Cookies can help the Web to distinguish the user’s browser as a previous visitor and thus save and remember preferences that may have been set while the user was browsing the site, personalize home pages, identify which sectors of a site have been visited or keep a record of selections in a “shopping cart”.

WOWturbans can use cookies in order to recognize users who have registered and to offer them a better and more personalized service. They can also be used to obtain information about the date and time of the user’s last visit, measure some traffic parameters within the site itself and estimate the number of visits made.

In this link you can obtain more information about the types and purposes of cookies. Source AEPD.

3.- Types and purposes of the cookies used on the WEB.

The WEB does not contain advertising and consequently the cookies used are those necessary to make browsing possible, remember user preferences, grant access to restricted sites or analyze browsing to improve the usability of the site. These cookies can be:

3.1.- Own Cookies: WOWturbans, in the environment of its WEB, platforms and applications, uses only those cookies necessary to make browsing possible and offer the services requested by the user.

Thus, the non-acceptance of these cookies immediately implies the impossibility of browsing the WEB or accessing contracted products and applications.

3.2.- Third Party Cookies: the WEB, its applications and platforms may include third party cookies for analysis and measurement of navigation. WOWturbans incorporates cookies from Google Analytics, which is Google analysis tool that helps website and application owners understand how visitors interact with their websites.

For more information about the functionalities and configuration of cookies from Google and its companies, see here.

The information necessary to disable these and other cookies and determine your cookie preferences is provided below.

4.- Configuration of Cookies. Protection safeguards.

The user can configure his browser to accept, or not, the cookies he receives or for the browser to notify when a server wants to save a cookie or delete them from the computer. Instructions on security settings are available in the web browser.

As a guide in this functionality, it is indicated where the configuration can be carried out:

  • If the browser used is Microsoft Internet Explorer, in the menu option Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Settings
  • If the browser used is Firefox, in the menu option Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies.
  • If the browser used is Google Chrome, in the menu option Settings > Privacy
  • If the browser used is Safari, in the menu option Preferences > Security

This information is expanded in the “Help” section that appears in the toolbar of most browsers to change the settings of the equipment.

However, the adjustments made may mean that some of the features of the WEB’s online services may not work or may be more complicated to access.

Many browsers allow you to activate a private mode whereby cookies are always deleted after each visit. Depending on each browser, this private mode may have different names.

Please read the help section of your browser carefully to learn more about how to activate the “private mode”.

  • Internet Explorer 8 and above: InPrivate
  • FireFox 3.5 and higher: Private Browsing
  • Google Chrome 10 and higher: Incognito
  • Safari 2 and higher: Private Browsing
  • Opera 10.5 and higher: Private Browsing.

Although browsing is done in “private mode” you can continue visiting the Web, but the user experience may not be optimal and some utilities may not work.

WOWturbans thanks its users for accepting cookies as this facilitates obtaining more precise data, which allows improving the content and design of the WEB to adapt it to user preferences.
